How to Contact Vinted UK Support (And Actually Get Help)

Seller Profit

If you've ever tried to find a Vinted phone number or email address, you already know the frustration. There isn't one. Vinted's entire support system runs through the app, and knowing how to navigate it properly can be the difference between getting your issue resolved quickly and going around in circles for days.

I've been selling on Vinted long enough to have dealt with missing parcels, wrong items, awkward buyers, and everything in between. Here's what I've learned about getting actual help from Vinted support.

The Reality: Vinted Has No Phone Number

Let's get this out of the way first. Vinted does not have a customer service phone number. There is no email address you can write to. There is no live chat with a human agent (at least not in the traditional sense).

Everything goes through the in-app help centre. This is by design - Vinted operates at scale across multiple countries and handles support through a ticketing and messaging system built into the app.

This might sound frustrating, and honestly, sometimes it is. But once you know how the system works, you can use it effectively.

How to Access the Vinted Help Centre

The help centre is your starting point for almost any issue.

  1. Open the Vinted app
  2. Tap your profile icon in the bottom right corner
  3. Scroll down and tap Help Centre or Help
  4. You'll see a list of common topics - browse these first before raising a ticket

The help centre contains a surprisingly comprehensive set of articles covering most common problems. Before you contact support directly, it's worth checking whether your question is already answered there. If you're dealing with a delivery issue, a payment problem, or a question about how something works, there's a decent chance the help centre will sort it.

How to Raise a Support Ticket with Vinted

If the help centre articles don't resolve your issue, you need to raise a ticket.

  1. Go to the Help Centre as above
  2. Navigate to the relevant topic for your issue
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the article and look for the option to Contact Us or I still need help
  4. This opens a conversation with Vinted's support team
  5. Describe your issue clearly, include any relevant order numbers or transaction details, and attach screenshots if they help

The key thing here is to be specific. Vague messages like "my order went wrong" will get a slow, generic response. Tell them exactly what happened, when it happened, and what outcome you're looking for.

How to Raise a Dispute on a Specific Order

If there's a problem with a specific transaction - say the item arrived damaged, wasn't as described, or didn't arrive at all - you raise a dispute directly from the order screen rather than through the general help centre.

For buyers:

  1. Go to your purchases in the app
  2. Find the relevant order
  3. Tap on it and select I have an issue
  4. Choose the relevant problem from the list (item not as described, item not received, etc.)
  5. Follow the prompts to submit your dispute

For sellers:

  1. Go to your sales in the app
  2. Find the relevant order
  3. You'll be notified if a buyer has raised a dispute - you'll have the chance to respond

Disputes are time-sensitive. As a buyer, you need to raise an issue within two days of the delivery being marked as complete, or within two days of the expected delivery date if it hasn't arrived. Don't leave it - once you mark an item as received, the transaction completes and the money releases to the seller.

How to Report a User on Vinted

If you need to report another user - whether for suspicious behaviour, scam attempts, or inappropriate messages - here's how to do it.

  1. Go to the user's profile
  2. Tap the three dots (menu icon) in the top right corner
  3. Select Report
  4. Choose the reason that best fits the situation
  5. Add any additional details and submit

You can also report specific messages or listings from within the conversation or listing screen using the same three-dot menu. For serious issues like scam attempts, document everything with screenshots before reporting.

Typical Response Times from Vinted Support

In my experience, response times from Vinted support vary quite a bit depending on the type of issue and how busy they are.

  • Simple queries - often resolved within a few hours through automated responses or quick human review
  • Disputes about orders - typically 24 to 72 hours for an initial response
  • Complex or escalated cases - can take several days, sometimes longer

The support is handled across different time zones given Vinted's European operations, so responses don't necessarily follow UK business hours. Don't be surprised to get a reply at an odd time.

If you haven't heard back within three to four days on something urgent, you can follow up within the same conversation thread. Don't open new tickets for the same issue - it slows things down.

How to Get a Faster Resolution

There are a few things that genuinely help speed up the process.

Be clear and factual from the start. Write out exactly what happened in a logical order. Include the order number, dates, and a clear statement of what you want - a refund, a replacement, a return label, whatever it is.

Attach evidence. Photos of damaged items, screenshots of misleading listing photos, tracking information showing non-delivery - all of this helps Vinted's team make a decision faster without needing to go back and forth with you.

Be patient but persistent. If you get an initial response that doesn't actually address your issue, reply politely but firmly explaining that the response hasn't resolved the problem and restate what you need.

Raise the issue through the correct channel. Use the order dispute flow for transaction problems, and the general help centre for account or policy questions. Using the wrong route can slow things down.

What to Do If Vinted Doesn't Resolve Your Issue

Sometimes, despite your best efforts, Vinted's support team doesn't resolve things to your satisfaction. If that happens, you have other options.

Chargeback Through Your Bank or Card

If you paid for something as a buyer and didn't receive the item or received something significantly not as described, you may be able to raise a chargeback with your bank or card provider. This is your right under UK banking regulations for card payments. Contact your bank and explain the situation - they can investigate and potentially reverse the payment.

Note that this should be a last resort, not something you reach for straight away. Vinted takes chargebacks seriously and it's better to use their dispute process first.

PayPal Buyer Protection

If you paid through PayPal, you can open a dispute through PayPal's Resolution Centre. PayPal has its own buyer protection that operates independently of Vinted's system.

Trading Standards

For issues involving misrepresentation, counterfeit goods, or sellers operating in a way that breaches consumer law, you can report to Trading Standards via the Citizens Advice consumer helpline (0808 223 1133) or online. Trading Standards won't resolve your individual dispute directly, but reports help build cases against problematic sellers.

Consumer Rights Act

As a UK buyer, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act regardless of what Vinted's own policies say. If an item is not as described, you're entitled to a refund. If a seller refuses and Vinted doesn't help, this is where chargeback and Trading Standards become relevant.

A Note for Sellers Dealing with Difficult Buyers

If you're a seller and a buyer has raised a dispute that you believe is unfair, respond through the app promptly with your evidence - photos of the item before posting, tracking information showing delivery, screenshots of the listing description. Vinted does review both sides.

If a buyer raises a chargeback and you believe it's fraudulent, respond to Vinted's request for information and provide all the evidence you have. This isn't always a battle you'll win, but documenting everything properly is your best protection.

Dealing with Vinted support takes a bit of patience, but once you understand how the system works it becomes a lot less stressful. The in-app tools are more capable than they first appear - you just need to know where to look.
